What a year it has been State of the art, Before our unveiling during the Xbox E3 2019 briefing, no one outside of our studio knew that our fast and fast 4v4 team brawler was even available! It was an absolute whirlwind for the Ninja Theory team. We can’t wait to start the closed beta on February 14, 2020. But let’s take another look at how we got here.
The
E3 announcement
We were there at the Xbox E3 2019 briefing
We are thrilled to show our first look at Bleeding Edge to all visitors to the fair
Show and those who watch at home all over the world. E3 was also our chance to present
our creative director Rahni Tucker. Rahni had previously worked on DmC:
Devil May Cry at Ninja Theory and brings her love to multiplayer games and games
Combine action to create bleeding edge.
Throughout the rest of the E3, the Bleeding Edge team presented a large number of participants to our stand with the first playable hands-on. We would like to thank everyone who came to play and chat with us. We had a great time and there were some really tight games where we laughed and screamed with you. We even took home a couple of E3 awards, including a Best of E3!
Technically
alpha
At E3 we also opened registrations for our technical alpha, and we were thrilled that so many of you signed up to BleedingEdge.com to play! After the team recovered from E3 (and a healthy dose of jet lag), we only had a few weeks to prepare everything so you could all play bleeding edge from the comfort of your own home.
What surprised us was how fast
Some of you came up with the idea of founding your own Bleeding Edge online communities. A Discord Server was developed by a
Really fantastic pair of our technical alpha players that quickly become one
active and friendly home for our community.
In the months that followed, we ran weekly Alpha Play tests. We have been waiting to see how you will play. Would you choose all the daemons most often and sneak up on unsuspecting healers? Would you reinvent the meta and discover a multitude of tricks and team compositions that even we didn’t think of? Would the train of pain on the Jersey Sink card do more kills than any player in the entire Alpha?
Our questions and curiosity were answered
When we sent surveys, we collected feedback, chatted with you, balanced, polished,
optimized, optimized . and we have to thank our alpha community for that. Our finale
The technical alpha test took place on December 12, 2019. A big thank you
To all of you in technical alpha for support!

The trailer took a closer look at our fans
into the world and characters from Bleeding Edge. Before you tear it up
Together in the arena, our reinforced anti-heroes didn’t always fight fit.
Agile, deadly, and Cassowary-inspired Cass
(see what we did there?) was received with great surprise by all of you and
Excitement – the bleeding edge fighters are quite diverse and colorful
Crew. We loved seeing your reactions to Cass, which was playable for the first time
Time at X019.
