Developer Digital Continue has announced SuperMash, a new game where players choose two genres for a whole new experience. The developer claims that no person will play the same game twice (or Mash, as it’s called in SuperMash).
At launch, players can choose between six classic video game styles: Shoot ’em Up, Stealth, Platformer, JRPG, Action Adventure and Metrovania. In this way, you can create a stealth rescue mission with a platform-level heroes, or engage a JRPG boss in the middle of a top-down action adventure game. Although the initial choices are limited to these six, the developer promises that more play styles will be available by 2020.
In addition, you can add your Mashes Dev Cards to further change the experience. With these you can change the mash by increasing the speed of the enemy, certain enemies or even certain music that you have unlocked. Based on your selection, SuperMash even names the game that creates it, and provides you with a unique code for each mash. You can also play through a story campaign in which a video game store needs to be stored.
SuperMash is now available exclusively through the Epic Games Store for $ 25 on the PC and will be available in 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
