2K Sports has recently unveiled the final lineup of wrestlers for WWE 2K24, and fans have noticed that Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar are noticeably absent from the roster.
The roster includes a total of 204 playable superstars, with 70 of them being ‘Legends’ who are no longer on the current WWE roster, and eight managers.
Lesnar, who was previously featured on the cover of the game’s premium Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition, has been removed from the cover following allegations of sexual misconduct against McMahon.
McMahon, the former WWE CEO, left the organization after a lawsuit was filed against him and a former executive by ex-WWE employee Janel Grant, accusing them of sexual assault and trafficking.
It’s unclear whether Lesnar’s matches, such as his ending of The Undertaker’s win streak at WrestleMania 30, will still be included in the game’s Showcase mode, which lets players recreate historic WrestleMania matches.
WWE 2K24 is set to be released on March 8 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-ordering the game will give players access to the Nightmare Family Pack.
Overall, the latest entry in the WWE 2K series seems to be following the same successful formula as the previous games, which has been well-received by fans.
