Xbox Introduces Voice Monitoring for Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One
Xbox would like to monitor you by recording your voice. The firm announced that they want to test a new moderation system to restrict players from toxic behavior: record what users say on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. However, this function called Xbox Voice Reporting does not concern everyone. For now, only Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead insiders in the English-speaking market are targeted. This status allows them to test updates earlier before Microsoft rolls them out to all of its users afterward.
This new moderation does not apply to an entire game either. “This tool allows players to capture a 60-second video clip of an in-game voice incident that they believe violates our Community Standards and submit it as evidence to our Xbox Security Team”can be read on the blog. This monitoring will be compatible on all the firm’s apps, even those of the Xbox 360.

There protection players
This new feature relies on alliance and living together. “We want players to feel comfortable in any multiplayer chat, feeling supported and welcome. We have also made sure that users and their data are protected and secure in accordance with our Microsoft privacy statement. That is, clips will be used for moderation purposes only and may not be shared, downloaded, or edited.
The isolated extract will remain on the console for 24 hours, during which the player will have the opportunity to submit it. Eventually, it will be automatically deleted. Finally, if the video is sent, a notification will notify the user, indicating whether or not Xbox has made a decision. “As a woman online, I often find myself staying silent in multiplayer, to avoid abuse and harassment. I’m excited about features like this that can help give voice back to people like me,” says CamicaziBoss, Xbox Ambassador.
