Hey Xbox Insider! Did you know that Alexa knowledge can help you report a problem?
Detailed reports on the features and experiences of Xbox One help us to provide meaningful feedback to Xbox developers. However, we do know that some reports prefer to send without the controller and virtual keyboard on the console.
Team Xbox improves text-to-speech to get the most out of your Xbox One. In an age when we can work and play hands-free, your smart device is the key to easily giving feedback to Xbox developers. If typing with the virtual keyboard and virtual controller is not your preferred method, you don’t have to do it now!
“Alexa, tell Xbox .”
Last September, Xbox’s family grew a little bigger with Alexa, but we haven’t talked much about what this AI can do for you as an Xbox insider. Before we get started, however, make sure you’ve set up Alexa for your Xbox One device as follows:
- Sign in to your Xbox One console
- Install the Alexa app on your mobile device and search for Xbox in Skills
- Sign in with your Microsoft account after selecting the icon Xbox skill
- On your Xbox One console, make sure “Digital Assistants” is checked under the settings
- Follow the instructions in the Alexa app to pair your console with your Alexa-enabled device
Have you paired your devices? Excellent. Now comes the fun part. Just say, “Alexa, tell Xbox to report an error.”
After answering the questions (by voice, no hands required!), Select the correct category and subcategory on your Xbox One. Your transcribed report will appear on your console so you can confirm it before sending it.
