An Xbox version of Stray set to release in August
An Xbox version of Stray will be released on August 10, according to an announcement by publisher Annapurna Interactive.
Critically acclaimed platformer comes to Xbox consoles
Stray, the critically acclaimed platformer featuring a small nameless cat, was initially released on PS4, PS5, and PC in July 2022. Now, it will make its way to Xbox consoles.
Expected release following ESRB rating discovery
This news comes as no surprise, as an Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) rating for an unannounced Xbox version of the game was spotted back in May.
Developed by BlueTwelve, published by Annapurna Interactive
The game was developed by small French studio BlueTwelve and published by Annapurna Interactive. Stray immerses players into a post-apocalyptic world, putting them in control of a stray cat. The objective is to navigate the challenges of a walled city and interact with its robotic residents in order to find a way back to the surface.
Stray’s success on PC and awards received
Upon its PC release, Stray became Annapurna Interactive’s most successful launch on the platform, boasting over 62,000 concurrent players. It received critical acclaim and achieved various nominations and wins, including Best Debut at the Game Developers Choice Awards and Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2022.
