Gas prices jumped to $1,840 on European exchanges

According to the London ICE stock exchange, gas prices in Europe rose by almost 5% and reached $1,840 per thousand cubic meters.

Earlier, the head of the IRTTEK media center, Dmitry Koptev, warned in an interview with the Novosti agency that gas prices in Europe could reach $2,000 if strikes by Norwegian oil and gas companies continue.

He added that the uncertainty in the market is also affected by statements by European politicians and analysts that after Russia completes the maintenance of the Nord Stream 1 line, supplies may not resume.
