General Motors works with an Egyptian company to assemble auto local electricity

Al-Mansour Automobiles, the Egyptian company and General Motors International signed a memorandum of understanding on the aspects of cooperation and future joint growth between the two sides, which included a framework to explore areas of investment in Egyptian startups working to provide new technologies or solutions to support sustainable mobility.

The two companies stated, in a note today Wednesday that the memorandum also included discussing ways to expand the scope of business related to spare parts and accessories.

The memorandum included the discussion on expanding local production of spare parts and their offer for export, as well as the inclusion of the memorandum of understanding which discussed frameworks for joint cooperation and explored possibilities for local assembly and production of battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
