Christopher Nolan’s Latest Film, Oppenheimer, to Release on July 19

If you like Christopher Nolan’s films, you know that Oppenheimer will be released in theaters on July 19. As a reminder, this is a feature film that focuses on the life of Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who is known mainly for having worked as a scientific director on the Manhattan Project. He developed the first atomic bombs during World War II. This is not the first historical film by the British director who notably directed Dunkirk in 2017.

This new movie boasts a five-star cast with Cilian Murphy in the main role (Peaky Blinders, Inception, The Dark Knight), accompanied in particular by Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes), Matt Damon (Will Hunting, Saving Private Ryan), Emily Blunt (Quietly, Into the Woods), Rami Malek (Untill Dawn, Mr Robot) and Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Black Widow).

Christopher Nolan’s Attraction to “Interesting Protagonists”

In addition, the Christopher Nolan spoke in another interview about the complexity of son main character, stating that he was “attracted to interesting protagonists, who have a certain moral ambiguity”. So, via Oppenheimer’s character, the director offers a point of view that seems to particularly appeal to him.
