Ghana gives the via to his Africa Cup qualifying campaign by beating Madagascar

Accra: Ghana has started its qualifying campaign for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast beating Madagascar 3-0 today Wednesday in the first qualifying round of Group E. Muhammad Quddus moved on to the Ghanaian side in the 53rd minute and three minutes later Oweny Gyan scored the second goal, while Osman Bukhari struck ended the hat-trick of the Ghanaian team in the 86th minute. The fifth qualifying round includes, along with Ghana and Madagascar, the teams of Angola and Central Africa, as their match, which took place earlier today, Wednesday, ended with the Angolan team winning 2-1. The Ghanaian national team is also preparing to participate in the World Cup at the end of the year in Qatar, being in the eighth and last group together with Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea. (Dpa)
