Global Brand Head of Infiniti, Peyman Kargar, Announces Retirement

Peyman Kargar, the global chairman of Japanese premium brand Infiniti, is retiring from his position at the end of March, to be replaced by an interim head. Kargar had led Infiniti since June 2020 and was planning a broad brand reboot of the QX80 SUV. Infiniti’s struggling sales have slumped since before the pandemic, with global sales down 55% to 84,830 vehicles in 2021 compared to 188,990 in 2019. Its US market saw a 20% drop to 46,619 vehicles in 2022. The parent company Nissan named Olga Filippova as the brand’s acting head as a personnel shuffle.
