Guardiola confirms the availability of De Bruyne, Diaz and Stones for the match against Tottenham

Manchester v England: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said his side’s playmaker Kevin De Bruyne missed training earlier due to a personal issue but is ready to play when they host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, Thursday in the English Premier League. Guardiola added defender Ruben Diaz, who was sidelined with a hamstring injury while attending the World Cup with Portugal, was in form, as has defender John Stones, who has missed the last two games. Guardiola told reporters today, Wednesday, when asked about De Bruyne: “He had a personal problem and didn’t train (yesterday on Tuesday), but he returned today. They are back (Stones and Diaz). He attends the last two training sessions. We will train in the afternoon and see how we have to play and who plays”. City, second in table and eight points behind leaders Arsenal, are keen to get back to winning ways after losing the top game to rivals Manchester United. The team suffers from an offensive problem after shooting once in goal in the last two games. “Sometimes our aerodynamics aren’t as good as they used to be,” Guardiola said. “To create chances you have to play well with good preparation (forward) to shake up the (opponent) defense line. We have suffered in the last two games. “When we play well, it depends on the plans. Our role (as coaching staff) is to find solutions. That’s what we have to do, and the mental state of the team’s players is not in doubt.’ City rivals Tottenham lost their last game to Arsenal at the North London Summit and are fifth on 33 points and have played more than Guardiola’s side.
