As Gwyneth Paltrow faces a high-profile trial regarding a 2016 skiing collision, Johnny Depp’s lawyer Benjamin Chew has commented on her court behaviour on Court TV. Chew criticised Paltrow for using a blue notebook to block her face from photographs and video, stating that she needs to “lose” the notebook as “this isn’t a family vacation away from the crowds when you have a legitimate expectation of privacy”. He also criticised her lawyer’s performance and warned Paltrow to watch her behaviour in court, commenting on how disrespectful it seemed when she did not stand up when the judge and jury entered the courtroom. Chew advised Paltrow to use her acting abilities to retain composure in the court at all times.
