Today, Friday, the Yemeni Ministry of Transport announced the resumption of air traffic to and from Al-Rayyan Airport in the city of Mukalla, capital of eastern Hadramawt Governorate, which is due to begin next Sunday after international commercial shipping has been suspended for years was airport.
Yemen’s Transport Minister Abdul Salam Hamid said in a press release that the ministry had completed final preparations for the airport to be ready and for air traffic control activities to return to full capacity.
He indicated that the security procedures and the drive through the airport meet all technical equipment and conditions agreed by the Civil Aviation Authority.
A document issued by the General Administration of Civil Aviation and Meteorology confirmed: “Al-Rayyan International Airport will be ready to receive and depart civil flights from next Sunday, March 28, 2021.”
The document stated that the flights at this airport operate from six in the morning to six in the evening.
