Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan soccer star, is making headlines in newspapers and sports sites in the last few hours due to the potential of a big transfer deal. Sources indicate that he is close to leaving Chelsea for free. According to French newspaper L’Equipe, he has received an offer that he is likely to accept. The offer is from Paris Saint-Germain, whose coach Christophe Galtier is looking for a talented and experienced player to fill the gap left by the departure of Angel Di Maria to Juventus. Negotiations between Chelsea and PSG are underway and are expected to conclude on the last day of the winter window. Ziyech is open to the idea of joining the team, which includes Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappe. It is unclear what the transfer fees and the value of the contract will be, but talks are progressing quickly. Ziyech joined Chelsea in 2019 from Ajax Amsterdam in a deal worth 40 million euros. However, due to injuries and incompatibility with the coach’s ideas, he has not had much success with the Blues. Newcastle United, Everton, Milan, and Barcelona have also shown interest in Ziyech. It remains to be seen if he will stay with Chelsea until the end of the season or move on to a new team.
