Hakimi absolves Zidane and reveals hiz religious beliefs

London – “Al Quds Al Arabi”: for the first time the star Moroccan Achraf Hakimi revealed the real reason for his departure from Real Madrid, in an exclusive interview with the French newspaper L’Equipe, during which the legend Zinedine Zidane was acquitted of the widely spread accusation as the first responsible for the release of the Leone Atlas from the “Santiago Bernabéu” in the summer of 2020. The Algerian coach was the first to give Hakimi the chance of a lifetime, to express himself with the Los Blancos first team, in the 2017-2018 campaign, which the team concluded by crowning the League Cup. The 13 times European champions, while making Ashraf the first Moroccan player of all time, keeps the same ears and gets his gold medal, despite sitting in bench in the final match against Liverpool, which ended with a goal of three goals.

A few days after Zizou’s sudden release in June 2018, the Royal Club sent in loan the young Moroccan to Borussia Dortmund for two years, to explode his talent in the “Signal Iduna Park”, transforming himself in short time in one of the best players in the world in his position, who doubled his chances of returning to Valdebebas after the loan ended, but the club decided to sell him to Inter for 40 million euros in the summer of 2020, with Zidane at the helm of the technical management.

In response to how much time in once circulated about Zidane’s involvement in the decision of the 20-year-old’s exit from Real, the interested party told the famous French newspaper: “I haven’t forgotten Zidane’s first call. The starting lineup, I learned a lot from him and I didn’t expect to leave Real”. And he added: “In a word Zidane is not responsible for what happened in the summer of 2020 (the decision to sell him to Inter), there were reasons that led to my departure, including the difficult economic conditions in which the club. And in that moment I granted him an interview that I will not forget all my life and which obviously will remain a secret between us forever. “As a clear message, he did not leave the club with a signal or a decision from Zizou, but for reasons beyond his control after the entity’s condition was wrecked in the aftermath of the first wave of the Corona pandemic.

On the other hand, he was asked about his religious beliefs and culture with his family, and his response was: “I am a practicing Muslim and I practice all religious rites. I am like a Moroccan. We speak darija at home and eat all kinds of Moroccan food. I had an incredible welcome in Paris, and I feel really good here, and I knew it before I moved to Paris, because there is a large Arab and Muslim community here.”

Just as he left Real Madrid for financial reasons, he was also forced to end his short trip with Inter, by the will of the Chinese administration that acquired the club, to mitigate the losses caused by the global epidemic, so that Paris Saint-Germain took advantage of the opportunity, buying its contract for 60 million euros, as one of the biggest deals it has concluded.

Real Madrid and Barcelona captains Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi, as well as Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum, and Italian goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma, and so far Hakimi has participated in nine games with the shirt of the dream team, from which he came out with three goals and two assists, the last of which was the winning goal against Metz in the calculated time instead of loss.
