Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok confirmed that he had signed the political agreement, today, Sunday, with the leaders of the army, at the presidential palace in Khartoum, for several fundamental reasons. in especially to spare the blood of Sudanese youth. He added: “I know that young people have the capacity for sacrifice and determination and offer everything that has value, but Sudanese blood is precious”.

He also stressed that the deal aims to bring the country back to a democratic transition and preserve the earnings of the past two years.

Furthermore, he stressed that it will strengthen the democratic civil transition, stressing that “there is no way to get to the point of no return”.

He continued: “When I accepted the position of President of the Transitional Council, I knew that the road was full of dangers, but we can cross our country, it is impossible.”

He also stressed the need to “work to unify all Sudanese forces with a solid democratic system”, adding that “Sudan’s interest is a priority”.

He also warned that the challenges remain significant, despite the achievements made over the past two years.

In addition, he explained that the agreement was reached “as a result of continuous work in the last 4 weeks”, thanking all those who contributed to this.

Hamdok’s speech came during the signing ceremony of the agreement with the president of the Transitional Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and his deputy, Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti).
