Hasbro Asks Microsoft to Revive Activision’s Transformers Games for Game Pass

Hasbro Hopes Microsoft will Revive Activision’s Transformers Games via Game Pass

Hasbro has expressed its desire for Microsoft to revive Activision’s old Transformers games through Game Pass.

During the Xbox 360 era, Activision released several Transformers games. However, due to licensing issues, these games are no longer available for digital purchase.

With Microsoft’s impending acquisition of Activision, Hasbro sees this as an opportunity for a revival.

In an interview with Transformers World, the Hasbro team stated, “Sadly, apparently Activision’s not sure what hard drives they’re on in their building. When a company acquires another company, things can get lost, and that’s very frustrating.”

The team expressed hope that Microsoft and Xbox will thoroughly search all archives and hard drives to make the games available on Game Pass. They believe it would be an easy addition to the platform and want players to have the chance to play these games again.

Currently, Transformers: Devastation, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, and Transformers: War for Cybertron cannot be purchased digitally. Some of these games can still be played on Xbox consoles through backward compatibility, but a physical disk is needed.

Last year, Splash Damage announced Transformers: Reactivate, a new co-op action game. The game will feature an original story where players can control their favorite characters. They can seamlessly switch between vehicle and bot form as they battle The Legion, the greatest threat the Autobots have ever faced.
