Chase Young says his “plan” is to return to Ohio next season rather than enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

The defensive end was one of four finalists for the 2019 Trois Trophy – awarded to the best player in football – after a remarkable season with the Buckeyes. Young came in third, behind LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts

Young set a State of Ohio record with 16.5 sacks in 11 games leading the nation in that category, and many believe he will be the top prospect for next year’s draft if he decides to quit college.

However, such a decision seems far from worded, as Young has revealed that he intends to return with the Buckeyes in 2020. Asked by TMZ Sports in New York if he plans to return to Columbus, Young replied: “This is the plan”.

The Young and the Buckeyes will play Clemson in the Fiesta Cup on December 28 as part of the College Football Playoff.
