Helen Skelton, 37, was forced to apologise to Channel 5 viewers this evening after she accidentally stained her all-white outfit on Summer on the Farm Live. The Countryfile presenter shared her regrets over wearing white on the programme while chatting on-air with her co-star Jules Hudson.
The link kicked off in chaos, as Helen chuckled when she realised the rear end of a horse could be seen on-screen between her and Jules as they presenter to camera.
She quipped: “That was a horse’s bottom in between our faces!”
Helen then promptly said sorry to viewers after realising she had suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
The star explained that she was tucking into some food during the commercial break and had managed to get mushroom sauce all over her clothes.

Helen went on to say she will avoid wearing white from now on during the live broadcast.
Explaining the situation to fans, Helen said: “I’ve got to apologise.
“I’ve dropped mushroom sauce all down my clothes.”
“Note to self: don’t wear white, dress like a grown-up,” the star sheepishly added.

Fans took to Twitter to comment on the error, with one viewer saying: “@HelenSkelton great show tonight , but you wore WHITE how brave are you lol.”
Another added: “@HelenSkelton white on a farm ?? Your gonna get grass on your knees.”(sic)
A third commented: “I suppose if I looked like @HelenSkelton I would wear all white to present a farm show…”
It’s not the first time that Helen has suffered a mishap while filming the series, as she previously shared her difficult encounter with a cheeky goat behind-the-scenes of This Week On The Farm back in March.

The TV star shared a short clip of herself on all fours, while a goat stood on her back, eating away at her hair in view of her 240,000 Instagram followers.
Wearing a brown coat, jeans and knee high boots, the clip shared by the Carlisle native showed her kneeling in a barn, while a black goat munched away playfully at her hair while standing on her back.
The star could be heard saying: “I’m pretty sure I’m losing all my hair.
“If I have a massive bald patch on next week’s show it’s not my fault.”

The presenter continued to let her fans know when to tune in to the show, but made an error due to the goat’s antics distracting her.
Helen said: “Thursday, 8pm, Channel 4,” she continued, before a colleague corrected her and said: “Channel 5.”
She continued: “I don’t want it to fall off,” before the mischievous goat jumped off her back and onto the hay covered floor.
In the next Story, Helen shared a snap of the goat standing on her back while she grimaced, with the caption: “It’s never dull.”
Summer on the Farm airs weeknights at 8pm on Channel 5.
