Houthi rebels in Yemen occupies US embassy grounds, holds hostages

US working to release Yemeni security personnel held hostage after Iran-backed Houthi rebels stormed US embassy grounds in Yemen’s capital, San’a, US officials said.

The US diplomatic mission in San’a has been suspended since 2015, when Houthi rebels took check of the city. Since then, US Embassy personnel have worked on Yemeni affairs from Saudi Arabia, that the government driven out by the insurgents.
