Despite their 9-3 record and strong position in the NFL playoff picture, the accounts do not create the same level of national advertising campaign that surrounds their opponent in Week 14. The 10-2 Ravens are ultimately the hottest The (and arguably better) NFL team and Baltimore just need to beat Buffalo on the road on Sunday to secure their place in the postseason.
However, if Buffalo pulls up a fumble this week as a smart six-point dog, there is a playoff game for Week 14, in which the Bills – not thieves or captains or patriots – will become the first AFC team to to reach the postseason.

If the accounts beat the Ravens, then they would need some help from the Raiders, Texans and Colts in the form of losses or ties. Below is the scenario in which Buffalo would play a playoff spot in Week 14:
- The accounts beat the Ravens AND
- The Raiders lose or accept the Titans AND
- The Texans lose or tie up with the Broncos AND
- The tubers lose or tie with the Buccaneers
For what it’s worth, the Colts and Raiders are three-point outs in their respective games, with Indianapolis playing at Tampa Bay and Oakland at home against Tennessee. The Texans are 9 1/2-point home favorites over the Broncos, but as we noted in Week 14 NFL Drafts and Predictions, this game could be a trap for Houston.
If the Bills beat the Ravens, their script for a playoff spot in Week 14 would be more likely than Baltimore’s, which would require a Raiders-Titans connection especially in addition to a Texans loss and a Colts loss or tie.
The other AFC teams likely to inspect the playoffs this week, the Patriots and Chiefs, play each other in the window late Sunday afternoon as the Bills and Ravens play early. While New England can technically secure a playoff spot before even playing (loss or loss of losing Texans or a tie and a Raiders-Titans tie), it will also need the Oakland-Tennessee unlikely tie.
Although the Bills would lose their playoff berth in Week 14 with a loss to the Ravens, they would maintain at least one full-game advantage in the wild-card race. If that happens, they might as well pull for the Raiders to defeat the Titans and knock Tennessee back in a game. The other 7-5 wild card team, the Steelers, will play in Arizona this week.

This week 14 account lock scenario is unlikely, but it is possible. SN chose the Ravens to win their accounts this week in both of our picks against our spread and our picks for Week 14.
However, we estimated that the Cowboys would also hit the bills for Thanksgiving. Don’t be surprised if the quietest NFL contender makes the strongest statement this week.
