Once you finish the main storyline in “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth,” you can access Premium Adventure mode. In this mode, you can explore Hawaii and Japan at your own pace and complete any unfinished tasks.
Premium Adventure mode lets you unlock and finish substories, improve Kasuga and Kiryu’s stats, complete in-game tasks, and earn Trophies in “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.” This mode extends the gameplay but doesn’t affect the main storyline.
Use the Premium Adventure Mode in Infinite Wealth
Unlike New Game+, where players start over with certain elements carried over, Premium Adventure continues from where the primary playthrough ended, maintaining all player progress. Additionally, this mode provides access to The Big Swell, an endgame dungeon available exclusively through the purchase of Infinite Wealth’s paid DLC “Master Vacation Bundle,” including the game’s New Game+ game mode.
The narrative of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is divided into fourteen chapters, each primarily focused on the conflicts a specific protagonist faces in different locations: Kiryu Kazuma in Japan and Kasuga Ichiban in Hawaii. The game’s structure does not initially allow free travel between its primary locations; players can only travel between Japan and Hawaii once they first beat the game.
This restricted players from completing some tasks until access to the required area was regained, typically in a subsequent chapter. This could hinder players from obtaining the necessary materials for crafting, forcing them to wait for the next chapter to progress. While completing all tasks before finishing the game is feasible, many players will likely have unfinished business to address.
To facilitate easy switching between protagonists Kiryu and Kasuga in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and thereby access to Yokohama and Kamurocho (as Kiryu) and Honolulu (as Kasuga), the game incorporates a system similar to the one used for switching between Kiryu Kazuma and Majima Goro in Yakuza 0.
How to Travel to Japan’s Isezaki Ijincho and Kamurocho
For Kasuga to travel between Isezaki Ijincho, Yokohama, and Kamurocho, he must follow a specific set of steps. First, he needs to make his way to Revolve Bar in Hawaii. Once there, he should proceed to the hideout room located upstairs. Inside the room, he will find a phone near the window with which he needs to interact. This action will trigger a “Change protagonist” prompt, allowing him to switch to Kiryu, currently in Japan. Once he selects Kiryu, he can travel between Isezaki Ijincho and Kamurocho via the taxi system.
How to Travel to Hawaii’s Honolulu
To travel to Hawaii, Kiryu needs to head to Isezaki Ijincho and go to Survive Bar. He should head upstairs to the hideout room and interact with a windowed door. Selecting “Change protagonist” here returns the gameplay to Kasuga in Hawaii. Kasuga has access only to locations within Hawaii.
An important note is that while players can include Kasuga and Kiryu in their party, the primary protagonist’s role depends on the current location: Kiryu leads in Yokohama, and Kasuga takes the lead in Hawaii. Gameplay in each region hinges on the survival of the respective protagonist; if the leading protagonist is defeated in battle, it results in a Game Over. However, suppose the non-leading protagonist is knocked out. In that case, gameplay will continue, and that party member will be resurrected after battle.
