Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sjarto said today, Friday, that the United States is most interested in slowing economic growth in Europe, stressing that it is benefiting from the economic downturn in the European Union.
The Hungarian foreign minister said: “The recession crisis in Europe is good news for the US economy, and it looks like America can benefit from it.”
The Hungarian minister added that the European Commission “impedes” the inflow of investments into the region, and stressed that the situation in the European economy is “unfavorable”.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the EU was paying five to ten times more for US energy than it was returning to cheap Russian supplies.
According to the Hungarian prime minister, the European authorities should ask their “American friends” who wins in such a situation?
