Hunt Showdown Update 1.99 – Patch Notes on March 07, 2024

A new update for Hunt Showdown, known as Update 1.99, has recently been released. This update is accessible across all gaming platforms, as well as on PC. Players can now download this update, which introduces bug fixes, improvement updates, and patch notes for the game. The Death Pact

  • The Death Pact Hunters: The Bone Mason, Sofia, Worm Bite
  • Tales from the Land of the Dead echo through the bayou, fueling new fears.
  • The Death Pact vows to keep the Graven Path sealed and explore the dangers beyond the veil.
  • Trait: Witness – While in Dark Sight, dead Hunters and Monsters are visible, and health starts regenerating slowly when close. Also highlighted in Beetle view.

The Lawful Pact

  • The Lawful Pact Hunters: Sheriff Hardin, The Witch Hunter, Mountie
  • Sheriff Hardin has gathered Hunters to restore order and justice to the bayou.
  • Equipped with new arsenal from a mysterious Backer, the Lawful prepare to purge chaos from the swamps.
  • Trait: Peacekeeper – Dead (red-skulled) teammates can be revived at the cost of burning 50HP. Looting a dead Hunter will restore one Health Chunk. Packmule (Conditional Trait Effect) – Receive some ammo for all ammo pools when looting a Hunter.

The Primal Pact

  • The Primal Pact Hunters: Felis, Lonely Howl, Iron Bark
  • Primality ensures that only nature’s rule of law applies in the bayou.
  • The Primal Pact bows down only to justice delivered by tooth and claw, defending against The Lawful Pact.
  • Trait: Berserker – All melee attacks do double damage. Beastface (Conditional Trait Effect) – You will not be noticed by animals.

Sealed Cache

  • Sealed Caches are new Supply Points surrounded by Spine Altars and contain valuable rewards.
  • Each Mission will have one Sealed Cache.
  • Rewards can be found uniquely inside the Sealed Cache or manifest outside it across the map.
  • To interact with rewards, Hunters must break the Pledge Seal by spending Pledge Marks (PMs).

Pledge Seals

  • Some Pledge Seal rewards can be accessed by every player once per Mission, while others are first come first served.
  • Exclusive Sealed Cache Pledge Seal rewards:
  • Bounty Token: A single Bounty Token, functions like one acquired from a Target. (2PMs)
  • Master Clue: Empowered version of regular Clue, reveals location of every Boss Target on the Map. (1PM)
  • Full Health Restoration: Restores all missing Health Chunks and refills all Health for you and your teammates. (1PM)
  • Pledge Seal rewards available at multiple locations:
  • Four Shot Boon: Receive all 4 syringe shot effects. (1PM)
  • Experience Boon: Receive a large amount of XP. (1PM)
  • Big Cash Register: Receive a large amount of Hunt Dollars. (1PM)
  • Full Restock Box: Replenishes all Ammo and Tools. (1PM)
  • Explosives Box: Access three explosive Consumables. (1PM)

Pledge Marks

  • A maximum of 4 Pledge Marks can be gained in one Mission.
  • Pledge Marks are tied to each Hunter and are brought out when extracting.
  • They are not physically carried by Hunters and cannot be directly taken or given.
  • Sources of Pledge Marks:
  • Reaching the Event Point (EP) Threshold – Gaining 30 EPs for the first time will reward 1 Pledge Mark.
  • Looting your first Hunter – Only the first Hunter looted will give 1 Pledge Mark. All subsequent loots will give Event Points.
  • Banishing your first Boss or Wild Target – Only the first Banish will give 1 Pledge Mark. Banishing another Target will only give Event Points.
  • Becoming the Soul Survivor – The surviving Hunter will receive 1 Pledge Mark.

Event Point Sources

  • Interact with Bounty Token at Sealed Cache – 100 EPs
  • Extract with at least one Bounty – 30 EPs
  • Become the Soul Survivor – 30 EPs
  • Investigate Master Clue – 30 EPs
  • Banishing a Target – 12 EPs
  • Looting a Hunter the first time – 12 EPs
  • Investigate Event Clues and Rifts – 10 EPs
  • Looting a Spine Altar – 6 EPs
  • Destroying a Spine Altar – 3 EPs
  • Challenges – 750 EPs per Challenge Milestone (Weekly)
  • Dark Tribute – 200 EPs for 1st Milestone (Daily)

Spine Altars

  • Spine Altars are Event objects spawned in the world for Desolation’s Wake.
  • They reward Hunters with Event Points.
  • Active interaction yields more Event Points and maintains stealth, while destroying them grants fewer points but causes damage and bleeding to nearby Hunters.
  • They glow red and produce a sound similar to a Clue when enemy Hunters or Beetles are nearby.

Pact Traits

  • Desolation’s Wake features special Traits gained at Supply Points during Missions.
  • Each Pact has a Trait that activates when a Hunter is pledged to that Pact. These traits grant additional conditional effects.
  • Hunters receive a free Trait the moment they pledge to their Pact.
  • Pact-specific Bonus Pledge Marks are rewarded for completing specific activities based on the pledged Pact.

New Equipment

  • New Desolation’s Wake equipment is available only through the Battle Pass during the event.
  • After the event concludes, they become Bloodline Rank unlocks like other gameplay items.
  • Examples of new equipment include the Caldwell Marathon, Caldwell Rival 78 Dragon Breath Ammo, Mako 1895 Carbine, and Crown & King Auto-5 Flechette Ammo.

Rewards and Battle Pass

  • A new Battle Pass is available for Desolation’s Wake, featuring both premium and free paths.
  • The Battle Pass can be purchased for 1000 BBs and includes premium progression and extra Challenge rewards for faster progression.
  • A Battle Pass bundle is available for 2440 BBs, which includes premium progression and +15 Battle Pass Levels.
  • Free progression offers chapter rewards, equipment unlocks, and other bonuses.

Event Store

  • The Event Store offers various bundles available for purchase using BBs.
  • Examples include the Rot and Remedy Bundle, Plague Artists Bundle, and Dark Medicine Bundle.
  • Each bundle includes legendary Hunters, weapons, and other exclusive items.

Event Boosters

  • All pre-pledged Hunters receive a +10% Event Points Boost.
  • Additionally, certain Hunters give a 10% Boost without being pre-pledged.
  • Examples include The Bone Mason, Sofia, Worm Bite, Sheriff Hardin, The Witch Hunter, Mountie, Felis, Lonely Howl, Iron Bark, The Statesman, The Centipede, The Redneck’s Daughter, The Conspirator, Corvid: Bile, Corvid: Brood, Union Suit, and Hex Breaker.
