Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman, 47, said playing detective at university is how she eventually bagged her husband Ed Sinclair, who she married in 2001. Reflecting on that period of time, The Crown star added she tells her spouse he’s a “lucky man” on a daily basis.
Olivia first met Ed, a producer, at Cambridge University, where they starred in Alan Ayckbourn’s Table Manners.
The actress said she spent six weeks memorising the words to a song he liked and also learnt his timetable.
“I sort of stalked him,” she revealed. “Which I don’t condone. It did work in our case.
“I remind him every day that he is a very lucky man.”

“Eventually I just told his friend to tell him I loved him and eventually his friend did.”
Thankfully for Olivia, her strategy worked out and the couple are now also proud parents to three children.
