Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, 56, has argued he would “rather hear parenting tips from Britney Spears’s god-awful father” than from Meghan Markle, 39. The presenter aimed a jibe at both the Duchess of Sussex and Britney’s dad Jamie Spears while slamming the former’s forthcoming children’s book, The Bench.
Piers was quick to mock Meghan’s new project after it was unveiled the story will be based on a father and son’s relationship.
He took aim at the book while branding the Duchess a “hypocrite” due to reports claiming Meghan and her husband Prince Harry both currently have negative relationships with their own dads, Thomas Markle and Prince Charles.
Piers penned in his latest column for MailOnline: “The whole notion of Meghan Markle dishing out advice to anyone about the relationship between fathers and children is absolutely ridiculous given the appalling relationships she and her husband have with their own fathers
“Yet her brazen decision to do it anyway is so sadly typical of a woman whose tendency for staggering hypocrisy is only matched by her extraordinary tone-deafness.”

He added: “I’d honestly rather hear parenting tips from Britney Spears’s god-awful father because at least they still talk to each other.”
Piers fumed: “Lest we forget, Ms Markle has ruthlessly disowned her father Thomas and refuses to have anything to do with him despite the fact they now live just 70 miles from each other.”
He went on to slam Prince Harry, for “trashing” his father Prince Charles for cutting him off financially after he quit his role as a Senior Royal.
Piers’ dig at Meghan comes amid the Free Britney movement, which is supported by the singer’s huge fanbase and aims to put an end to her dad’s control over her finances, business and personal life.

However, the dad-of-three has previously declared he is working to look after his pop star daughter’s best interests by running her conservatorship and is dedicated to “protecting her”.
In 2007, Britney had a breakdown after splitting from her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
The star went on to lose custody of her sons Jayden, 14, and Sean, 15, and was detained for 14 days for her own safety.
Britney was then placed under the conservatorship, which prevents her from driving, going out alone or making her own financial decisions.

Piers has been very outspoken in sharing his controversial views about Meghan since her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, alongside Prince Harry.
The star, who quit Good Morning Britain in March after sparking backlash from viewers due to his scathing comments about the Duchess of Sussex, claimed her project “would make the current shortlist for the title of World’s Most Ludicrously Inappropriate Book”.
Piers was criticised for disbelieving the Duchess of Sussex when she opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts after joining the Royal Family.
Media regulator Ofcom then confirmed it would be launching an investigation after over 40,000 complaints were made.

During her interview, Meghan spoke candidly to Oprah on her time as a member of the Royal Family while living in the UK with Harry and their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Duchess of Sussex described the Queen as being “really welcoming” in one part, however, she also discussed how she felt upset after Archie was not made a prince.
She went on to claim that there were multiple conversations and concerns about “how dark” her son’s skin colour would be before he was born.
The host asked who made such a statement. However, Meghan would not reveal who it was, saying it would be “very damaging” to their reputation.
