In political memory, this is what the Iraqi ambassador revealed in Egypt!

In the second episode of the Political Memory program, the Iraqi ambassador in Egypt, Nabil Negm, reveals that Mustafa al-Fiqi, the secretary of the late Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, called him and asked him to attend the reception of Syrian President Hafez al-Assad in Alexandria.

Negm’s first response was to apologize for the breakdown in relations between the two countries. However, when the Iraqi president informed Saddam through his secretary, Saddam agreed to attend the reception for Assad, who cordially shook his hand.

In the episode, Ambassador Najm reveals that the real reason for the sacking of Egyptian Field Marshal Abdel Halim Abu Ghazaleh is that he obtained information from an Iraqi-born American missile expert and transferred it in Egypt and Iraq, which angered President George Bush.

Nabil Najm also addresses the cause the dispute between Field Marshal Abu Ghazaleh and former Iraqi Minister of Military Industrialization, Lieutenant General Hussein Kamel.

Negm arranged for Kamel to visit Cairo to melt the ice in his dealings with Abu Ghazaleh, while visiting a number of military factories and power plants.
