Today, Saturday, the Russian defense ministry said that Moscow has suspended its participation in the agreement for the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports, according to the TASS news agency.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry has indefinitely confirmed the suspension of participation in the agreement, noting that the safety of ships in the Black Sea could not be guaranteed due to the Ukrainian attacks.

On the other hand, the United Nations has made it clear that they are communicating with Russia after its decision to suspend participation in the wheat agreement.

He added that all parties should avoid any situation that hinders the export of grain from the Black Sea.

The Crimean peninsula witnessed the largest onslaught of demonstrations today since the Russian-Ukrainian conflict began last February, with Russia pointing the finger at Britain.

The Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed that the Ukrainian attack on the Black Sea fleet was prepared by British specialists, accusing London of responsibility.

He indicated that the ships targeted by the marches in the Gulf of Sevastopol in Crimea are part of the Ukrainian grain export agreement, claiming that a minesweeper belonging to the fleet was damaged, Sputnik reported.

In turn, Mikhail Razvogaev, the governor of the pro-Moscow city of Sevastopol, announced today that the Ukrainian attack on the Black Sea fleet structures was the “biggest” since the conflict began. in Ukraine.

UN sponsored agreement

He added that it was carried out via drones and remotely piloted surface vehicles, over the waters of the Gulf of Sevastopol, the largest city on the peninsula that Russia annexed to its territory in 2014.

The Russian fleet stationed in that city’s port was also the target of an attack in march last July. Saki airbase was also attacked in August.

Interestingly, the wheat export agreement was signed on July 22 in Istanbul under the auspices of the United Nations, as Ukraine was in able to resume its grain and fertilizer exports across the Black Sea, which were halted when Russia began its military operations on February 24.
