Well Minecraft, a player demonstrates their amazing construction abilities by designing a deserted cityscape that would fit in with any dystopian game.

Today’s Minecraft subreddit entry wowed viewers, igniting spirited debates and countless compliments for the author, Viator. I created an abandoned city in Minecraft, according to the thread’s title. The view readers are given, however, demonstrates that the creator of this Minecraft environment almost undersold their concept.

Three of the buildings are tilting to one side and appear to have partially fallen into the earth in the first image that visitors see of a group of vegetation-covered buildings. The majority of these structures are seen to be standing in a body of water with debris and various plants sprouting out of it as the camera slowly pans to the side. The following picture quickly appears, revealing the inside of a structure with grass covering, light pouring in through the now-missing ceiling, and illuminating the water pooling in the middle. Later, more of the city is seen. The buildings on either side of an avenue with lighting coming from the water are exposed. The setting is lit by the sun, and then we observe a roaming trader and their llama taking in the abandoned city. Before the screen slowly fades to dark, viewers get a few more views of this city in the rain.

Nearly 700 comments are included in the thread, some of which ask Viator how long it took to create this universe. Others, on the other hand, attempt to identify the media that these images remind them of. Although several other games, such Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Horizon Zero Dawn, have been mentioned in lesser numbers, most people seem to agree that the city reminds them of NieR: Automata or, rather, The Last of Us.

As this universe is merely the most recent instalment of Viator’s earlier efforts, which first emerged on Reddit two years ago, it is clear from their past threads that they are greatly fascinated by deserted landscapes. Out of the previous two images, one cite inspiration from the Maze Runner franchise. On the other one, they name as an apocalyptic city. The latest abandoned world is also available for players to download and explore.

It’s always a delight to see Minecraft players create stunning structures and environments for others to like and appreciate, especially when they take special care to exhibit them. The Viator film is a mini cinematic experience as they experiment with various lighting and camera angles to really highlight the beauty of this city that nature has completely reclaimed. Despite the city’s former splendour, it is a tranquil location where players might want to set up camp and take in the views of the massive structures reflected in the water’s mirror-like surface. Nevertheless, the artistic success of this planet is apparent, regardless of anyone’s preference.

Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC, mobile, and other platforms all support Minecraft.
