Russia has become India’s largest oil supplier, outperforming all other suppliers, according to energy shipment tracking firm Vortexa.
Russia supplied India with 946,000 barrels per day of crude oil in October, the highest rate on record in a month.
Russian oil imports accounted for 22% of India’s total crude oil imports, ahead of Iraq for 20.5% and Saudi Arabia for 16%.
