India v England: Michael Vaughan predict hosts will clean up the ODI series

India, who beat England in the Test and in the T20I series, are starting favorites in the ODI series which will be played in Pune on March 23, 26 and 28.

With visitors for the 50+ games without the services of batsman Joe Root and pacer Jofra Archer, Vaughan believes the Indians will sweep the series clean.

“Early One Day Series prediction … India will win 3-0 !!! No Root or Archer … #INDvENG,” Vaughan tweeted.

While Root is on an extended hiatus after two consecutive Tests in Sri Lanka and India, Archer is returning to the UK to further treat and investigate his right elbow injury, which has worsened over the course of the T20I series and five games it becomes more and more difficult for him to maintain the level of performance.

On Sunday (March 21) the Cricket Board (ECB) of England and Wales appointed a 14-person squad for the three-game ODI series. And after Archer was rested, three players – Jake Ball, Chris Jordan, and Dawid Malan – were added to the roster as cover.

This isn’t the first time Vaughan has predicted a streak as he’s been on the wrong side many times lately, including his bold call for a 4-0 whitewash of Australia against India in the testing series. However, he predicted a 3-0 in favor of India in the test series against England.
