1. Team News – India
India could move on with the roster, albeit with minor changes that served in the T20Is. They have added three players, Pacer Prasidh Krishna, all-rounder Krunal Pandya and batsman Suryakumar Yadav, and it is to be expected that they will give them chances at some point. KL Rahul is the second wicket keeper behind Rishabh Pant but his modest form in the T20Is could battle him for a place in Playing 11. Shikhar Dhawan, who only played one match in the T20I series, could come into play as a second opener with Rohit Sharma considering his comfort and his record in 50-over format.
Yuzvendra Chahal, who had a rather humble T20I, and Kuldeep Yadav could fight for the spinner slot and as such, Chahal could hold a slight ledge over the spinner on his left arm.
2. Team News – England
England took a massive jolt when pacer Jofra Archer withdrew from the ODIs with an elbow injury. England have added Liam Livingstone to the roster and added Dawid Malan, Jake Ball and Chris Jordan as traveling members of the ODI roster in the event of an emergency.
