Sudan’s Central Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday that inflation in the country fell in September to 365.82% from 387.56% the previous month.
According to government data, inflation has risen in eight of Sudan’s 18 states and the state of Gedaref again recorded the highest inflation rate at 815.82%.
Core inflation, which excludes volatile elements such as food, fell to 515.46 percent in September from 541.06 percent in August.
Sudan is experiencing a severe economic crisis, as low reserves often lead to shortages of fuel, bread and essential medicines.
