Inter joins the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup

Italy: Inter joined the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday, after the difficult victory over Empoli, with three goals to two goals after the extension. Inter dominated the first half and managed to close it in advantage with a first goal arrived in the 13th minute with the feet of the Chilean Alexis Sanchez. Empoli surprised everyone in the second half and managed to overturn the score in his favor, with two goals scored by mistake alternately by the Albanian Nadim Bayrami and the Romanian Inter goalkeeper Yont Radu, in the 61st and 76th minutes. Empoli remained in advantage until the first minute of the substitution time, when Inter adjusted the result with a second goal signed by the defender Andrea Ranocchia. At the end of the first half in parity, the two teams resorted to two overtime, the first of which saw Inter score the third goal of the victory thanks to midfielder Stefano Sensi, who returned to play with his team after a long absence of injuries. Inter joined the teams of Juventus, Lazio, Sassuolo, Fiorentina and neighboring Milan in the quarter-finals, in waiting for the qualifying final, which will be decided on Thursday, after the match between Rome and Lecce.
