Inter secures quarter-final spot in Champions League with draw against Porto

Inter Milan secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a goalless draw against Porto in Portugal on Tuesday. The Italian team had won the first leg 1-0 at home, meaning Porto needed to score at least two goals to progress in the competition. However, they were unable to find the back of the net and finished the game with just 10 players after Pepe was sent off in the closing stages. Inter’s victory came as a relief for their fans, following two defeats in their last three domestic league games which have left them second in the table, 18 points behind leaders Napoli. Meanwhile, Porto will now turn their attention to their efforts to catch domestic league leaders Benfica, who currently hold an eight-point lead over them.
