What the Mass Effect series would look like if it were split up into TV shows and movies, including some intriguing spin-offs, is demonstrated by a fan.
A fan of the game series proposed an MCU-inspired Mass Effect cinematic universe. While there are many reasons why fans of BioWare’s sci-fi action RPG series, Mass Effect, have fallen in love with it, many players have grown very attached to its vast universe and the characters that inhabit it. The protagonist of Mass Effect, Commander Shepard, as well as the crew members of the Normandy, such as Liara T’Soni and Urdnot Wrex, are just a few of the many characters and species that fans can relate to throughout their space-faring adventures.
While both the original trilogy and Andromeda give each squad member in the Mass Effect games their own time to shine, there are many backstories and moments that players aren’t allowed to see. Numerous events in the Mass Effect series have shaped the Milky Way galaxy in the games, in addition to character origins that aren’t visible onscreen.
There are many secondary sources for Mass Effect lore that fans can read. Still, Reddit user RedMajora72 has a unique suggestion for how some of the backgrounds omitted from the games can be presented. RedMajora72 came up with their design of 18 Mass Effect projects that could each be turned into their TV series or movie, focusing either on a character or a significant event in the series. They were inspired by other franchises like Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Mass Effect trilogy’s three games are all included in RedMajora72’s suggested MCU project lineup, which concludes with Andromeda. However, it also offers fans a closer look at some things they might not have previously seen, such as Commander Shepard’s beginnings and what some of the more well-known characters were up to between games. One of the most famous characters from Mass Effect is Garrus Vakarian. In RedMajora72’s concept, he would have his trilogy that would chart his development from a C-Sec officer to a vigilante before becoming a general in Mass Effect 3.
Many Mass Effect players voiced their opinions about the cinematic projects they would like to see if the games were to be adapted into films and television programs. One fan requested a prequel TV show centered on Mordin Solus, a squadmate from Mass Effect 2, to demonstrate how he developed the genophage. Although BioWare is currently working on Mass Effect 4, which many anticipate will be released after Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, it doesn’t appear that any Mass Effect movies are in the works.
