iPhone 15 Pro models are Rumoured to be More Expensive

Recent reports say the iPhone 15 Pro models could cost more than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

A rumor from a source that can’t be trusted says that this year’s iPhone 15 Pro models will cost more than last year’s iPhone 15 Plus models. It’s unclear how much the prices will go up. The starting prices for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are $999 and $1,099, respectively. If the prices went up, both high-end iPhones would be priced over $1,000 for the first time.

The report also said that since the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will get features currently only on the Pro models, like Dynamic Island and the 48-megapixel camera, this year’s pricing will need to be more different from the Pro and non-Pro devices.

Last month, it was said that Apple is “seriously” worried about sales of the iPhone 14 Plus, which starts at $899, just $100 less than the iPhone 14 Pro. The company is reportedly looking at ways to price the standard iPhone 15 models to get more people to buy them.

The Weibo post comes from an unknown source, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, unverified rumors on Weibo sometimes turn out to be accurate, like the iPhone 14 Pro has an Adaptive True Tone flash and a choice of colors.

Even though there were multiple reports that the prices of the iPhone 14 models from last year would go up by around $100, this did not happen, and the devices stayed the same price as the same models of the iPhone 13. Since 2017, the smaller “Pro” model or its equivalent has cost $999, so it’s only a matter before Apple raises prices again.
