Philippe, who made his debut in 2020, played five games and scored 78 runs for the Bengaluru franchise. His successor Finn has appeared in 12 top-notch games for New Zealand and scored three half centuries.
Finn had a base price of INR 20L, which was the same as Josh Philippe’s. It will be Finn’s first VIVO IPL season this year when he plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Virat Kohli.
RCB, who made it to the playoffs last season, has yet to win the coveted IPL trophy. The Bangalore team starts the upcoming season on April 9th. Kohli’s men will face defending champions Mumbai Indians on the opening day of the season in Chennai.
While Kohli’s men haven’t won their first trophy yet, the Mumbai-led team led by Rohit Sharma has won the coveted title five times. MI won the IPL a maximum of that number of times.
The upcoming edition of the IPL, which is slated to take place behind closed doors, is slated to begin on April 9th, while the finale will take place on May 30th.
