Iron Man 4: Tom Cruise Stuns as Tony Stark in the Trailer

Fans of Marvel have been excited about the idea that Tom Cruise could play a version of Iron Man in the MCU. This incredible video shows why.

In 2021, rumors about Spider-Man: No Way Home made the movie world abuzz. Almost all those rumors were about a certain character or a Marvel veteran coming back (or both).

You might think that the arrival and release of that movie would end those rumors, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a growing beast, and so have those rumors. This has made fans even more excited about the MCU, both now and in the future.

The next one to come out was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which came out earlier this year. It would be an understatement to say that there were even more rumors about that. One of these rumors told Tom Cruise would wear the familiar Iron Man armor as the Superior Iron Man.

In the end, that didn’t happen, but many fans can’t stop thinking about the Top Gun: Maverick star playing a different version of Tony Stark.

A YouTube user named Stryder HD has shown us what that might look like.

Stryder HD is used to making epic fan videos that use Deepfake technology to take an actor’s likeness and put it on top of another actor’s. This jaw-dropping video is just one more example.

The video is a concept teaser for a made-up Iron Man 4, using Iron Man footage and putting Tom Cruise’s face on Robert Downey Jr. to show what the Hollywood star might look like if he played a different version of Tony Stark in an MCU movie.

It’s a very convincing video that makes it look like Cruise could play Tony with the same charm that RDJ is known for (even though we all know RDJ is irreplaceable).
