The Organization for Islamic Cooperation has expressed its rejection and condemnation of Israeli statements on the alleged sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and the demolition of the Al-Rajabi family building in Silwan, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and related Resolutions of Nations.
The organization affirmed its firm support for the Palestinian people’s right to full sovereignty over the city of East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine, renewing its condemnation of all Israeli positions and measures aimed at changing its legal and historical status, including the policy of colonial settlement, house demolitions, forced displacement of Palestinian citizens and the attempt to divide the time and space of the Beata Aqsa mosque.
The organization also held Israel, the occupying power, fully and directly responsible for the continuation of these crimes and attacks it perpetrated daily against the Palestinian people and their sanctities and resolutions of international legitimacy.
