Israel calls on America to speed up “offensive operational plans” against Iran

The newspaper “Times of Israel” cited the military on Tuesday that its chief of staff, Aviv Kochavi, had told US military officials that the two countries’ militaries should accelerate what he described as “offensive operational plans” against Iran.

The newspaper stressed that Kochavi, who arrived in the United States on Sunday, met with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs on Monday of Staff, Mark Milley, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Director of Central Intelligence William Burns.

Kochavi stated, in statements quoted by the newspaper about the Israeli military, which during the discussions “it was agreed that we are in a critical moment that requires the acceleration of operational plans and cooperation to address Iran and its proxies” in the region.

The Chief of Staff said, “While Iran is subject to a lot of economic, military and domestic pressure, it continues to strengthen its nuclear program.”

And the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRNA) news agency said in earlier on Tuesday that Iran increased its production of enriched uranium by 60%, in response to the recent decision of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency against Tehran.

While the Israel Broadcasting Authority has credited the military with allegedly conducting upcoming exercises with its American counterpart simulating direct attacks on Iran and what it described as its “proxies,” the “Times of Israel” quoted an unnamed military source who did not know about these exercises.

The newspaper pointed out that the Israeli military’s statement made no mention of plans to conduct these exercises.
