Israeli attacks on sites in Gaza after a rocket launch

The Israeli military launched attacks on sites in the Gaza Strip yesterday after a missile was fired from the Palestinian sector against the Jewish state, according to a statement from the Israeli army.

In its statement, the Israeli army said: “The planes targeted a Hamas weapons production site and three Hamas military sites.”

Three Palestinian gunmen, including a Hamas leader, were killed on Friday in a firefight with Israeli forces who were carrying out an operation in thearea of Jenin of the West Bank occupied by Israel for more than fifty years.

Before dawn on Saturday, the sirens are sounded in the city of Ashkelon and in other cities in southern Israel bordering the Gaza Strip, to warn of a missile attack, before the Israelis struck.

The last Israeli and missile attacks on Gaza date back to April.
