Israeli plane crashes in near Greece, 2 dead – report

the bodies of two people were reportedly recovered after a small private Israeli plane crashes in near the eastern Aegean island of samos on Monday night, according to the Greek media.

The plane, a Cessna 172, reportedly departed from Israel and “found a” problem on the approach of the island’s airport.”

It’s unclear what this is problem was, although the evidence seems to point to a technical issue with the engine, CNN reported.

According to reports, a search and rescue team has been deployed, including local volunteers.

However, the victims, a man and a woman, have yet to be identified ZAKA workers confirmed they were Israeli, according to haredi news outlet Kikar Hashabbat.

There were no other passengers on the plane, reports said.
