Italy 5.7 billion euros in surplus in the general budget in July

The Treasury said on Monday in a statement that Italy recorded a public budget surplus of € 5.7 billion ($ 6.77 billion) in July, compared to a deficit of € 7.2 billion in the same month last year.

This difference is mainly due to an increase in tax revenue, according to “Reuters”.

The Treasury said the first seven months of the year had a combined budget deficit of 79 billion euros (93.82 billion dollars), in decrease of 23.4 billion euros compared to the same period of 2020.
