James Bond star Daniel Craig: ‘We were constantly readjusting the No Time To Die script’

There are now just 24 days until James Bond movie No Time To Die hits UK cinemas, assuming the blockbuster isn’t delayed again. While we wait, a new trailer for No Time To Die: The Official James Bond Podcast has landed. During the promo, previously unheard stories from the 007 film’s production were teased including Daniel Craig sharing: “We were constantly adjusting and readjusting the script.”

The 25th Bond movie’s script has famously been through a number of iterations. Originally Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have written every 007 movie since Pierce Brosnan’s The World Is Not Enough, saw their story shelved for a screenplay by John Hodge.

The Trainspotting screenwriter was working alongside then director Danny Boyle before the pair left the film over creative differences.

Purvis and Wade were later brought back in to pen the script for what became No Time To Die, which new director Cary Fukunaga worked on, as did Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Apart from commenting on the screenplay, Craig is also heard saying in the podcast trailer: “I get shot and then I get blown up – feels like James Bond to me!”
