James Bond: When is No Time To Die available to watch at home in the UK?

Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie first hit UK cinemas on September 30 after an 18-month delay. Having had the biggest opening for a 007 movie in British box office history, the blockbuster opened in US movie theatres on October 8. Now No Time To Die is already available to rent on PVOD across the pond, but UK fans don’t have very long to wait for their chance of a home viewing.

No Time To Die will be available to rent on digital download via Amazon Prime, iTunes and some other UK streaming platforms from Friday, November 19.

Considering other Universal Pictures releases cost £15.99 to rent within a 48-hour window, presumably the latest Bond movie will follow suit.

Physical copies of Craig’s final 007 outing are available to pre-order now on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD for a December 20 release.

Next year, marks the 60th anniversary of the Bond film franchise, so no doubt there will be a new special box set of all 25 movies.

A Blu-ray boxset of the official Bond movies up to Skyfall was released in 2012 to coincide with the 50th anniversary.

So perhaps a 4K Ultra HD set for the 60th anniversary celebrations will be announced for 2022?

Of course, in the meantime, No Time To Die is still screening in cinemas around the world.

And this week the blockbuster cross over $700 million at the worldwide box office, making it the fourth highest-grossing movie of 2021 so far.

This is particularly impressive in a pandemic year with Chinese movie The Battle at Lake Changjin currently at No 1, having grossed over $858 million.

Chinese comedy Hi, Mom is just behind on $848 million and Fast and Furious 9 is in third on just over $721 million.

Although No Time To Die has now passed the Vin Diesel car flick at the international box office, having topped Fast 9’s $549 million with $558.2 million.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the Bond movie is the fifth-highest grossing movie of all time, having surpassed Avengers Endgame.

No Time To Die has only just opened in Australia this last weekend, which is the film’s last major market.

The Bond movie has so far taken $8.2 million Down Under, which is a record for these pandemic times in that location.

But with all the delays and advertising costs, the blockbuster still needs to make $900 million worldwide just to break even. So no doubt home rental costs will help with that ahead of being able to buy the film.

No Time To Die can be rented at home in the UK from November 19, 2021.
