Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum finalized their divorce last month after eight years of marriage. But a once friendly separation has become uncomfortable because the couple would have quarreled over the co-parenting of their six-year-old daughter, Everly, and none of them is a big fan of how the other chose to continue his life. .
Dewan wrote about his divorce with Tatum in his new book Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday. She admitted that the process was not easy, and she also admitted that “a lot of wine” was needed to make it happen, as well as “loud and painful screams”.
“The process was not cute, light or fluffy,” wrote Dewan. “It was a dark and difficult time, that’s for sure.”
Flirty Dancing presenter – who is now expecting a child with her new boyfriend Steve Kazee – also told how she had heard about Tatum’s new relationship with singer Jessie J., writing that she was on a plane and had discovered with everyone. Dewan admitted she was “blinded” by the news.
According to Radar Online, things have become even worse among the former and they no longer respect each other. At this point, they lead very different lives, and it becomes increasingly difficult to “stay on the same wavelength”.
“They are in bad terms nowadays with very little love or common respect for how they each decided to live their respective lives,” says one insider. “Jenna sees Channing as a heartless cheese ball that rushes too fast into romance with Jessie J.”
On the other hand, Tatum sees his ex-wife as “a hypocrite” who is “super-controlling and petty.”
Dewan and Tatum share Everly’s care and she alternates between her parents’ homes for holidays and vacations. But, Tatum recently upset Dewan when he asked for help from the judge to determine the schedule, and he also said he did not want his ex-wife to post clear photos of Everly on social media.
Another source told Life & Style that Dewan thought Tatum was changing things just to annoy him. She did not appreciate that Magic Mike’s star went to court to look after their guard schedule and “created a useless drama” instead of calling it.
The source says that the deterioration of the relationship between Dewan and Tatum is “a shame for the child,” but they continue to become “more hostile to each other over time.”
