Jeremy Renner Was Saving His Nephew When Injured in Snowplow Accident

A Nevada sheriff’s report found that Jeremy Renner almost died in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day because he was trying to save his nephew. The Hawkeye actor was trying to stop his snow-removal tractor from sliding and hitting his nephew when he was pulled under the vehicle and crushed.

Renner told the police that he was using his snowcat to pull his nephew’s truck out of the snow when the snowplow suddenly started to slide sideways. The actor got out of the car and tried to stop the machine.

The report says, “Once he got off the Pistenbully, he realized it was going straight toward (his nephew).” “He was afraid that the Pistenbully would hit his nephew, so he tried to stop or steer the Pistenbully.”

Renner had to climb onto the snowplow’s moving track to get back into the cab. When he tried to climb up, he was “immediately pulled under the left side track,” according to the report. It’s also important to remember that the snowcat’s parking brake was not on.

“The Pistenbully had some mechanical problems, but our mechanical inspection led us to believe that the parking brake would stop it from moving forward, “the story said. “When Renner tried to stop or steer the Pistenbully to keep his nephew from getting hurt, the track pulled him under the vehicle and ran him over.

Due to a broken brake indicator light, the report also said that “mechanical problems may have played a role” in the accident.

Renner’s nephew was there, and he could help the actor until help arrived, which was a good thing. Renner was then taken by helicopter to the hospital, where he had at least two surgeries and was cared for in the ICU.

Renner is now back home, but he is still getting better from the accident. He went on Twitter to thank his fans for their love and support and said he had broken “30 or more” bones.
