Jersey Shore Star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren buy a new home in New Jersey as they try to start a family

After a difficult year that has been dominated by an eight-month stay in a federal prison for tax evasion, Jersey Shore: family vacation star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino wraps up 2019 with a big purchase with his wife Lauren. The couple just bought a seven-bedroom, ten-bathroom mansion in New Jersey after revealing that they were trying to start a family.

According to Zillow, the four-story house is 9,800 square feet and is valued at $ 1.8 million. Designed by architect Rui A. Ponte, the house includes a courtyard, an observation deck with views of the New York city skyline, a garage for four cars, a master suite with double dressing room, a bar, a fireplace and a basement.

Sorrentino was released from federal prison in Otisville, New York in September, and he and Lauren appeared on Good Morning America last month to talk about their lives together now that he’s back from prison. The couple revealed that they had conceived when Mike was released, but they lost their pregnancy after miscarriage after about six and a half or seven weeks.

“I didn’t want to keep that,” said Lauren. “I wanted to share it for the other people who go through it and be honest so I can heal throughout the process.”

Despite their tragic loss, the couple say they will try to get pregnant again because they want to start a family.

Mike also told Page Six this week that he looks forward to celebrating Christmas this year with Lauren, as it will be so much sweeter than their first Christmas together as husband and wife.

Mike and Lauren were married in November 2018, but their first Christmas as a married couple was overshadowed by his impending prison sentence.

“Christmas is a lot sweeter because I’m at home – last year I think I was about to go to jail at this particular time,” said the 37-year-old. “So when I was trying to be my best, I had to bow my head and manage something. This year, therefore, I feel like I am putting this chapter behind us and now we can go ahead and enjoy some of the beautiful chapters of our lives. “

Mike and Lauren joined the Banyan Treatment Center this year after celebrating four years of sobriety. The couple offer a rehabilitation stay in a Banyan establishment to a person struggling with an addiction.

Mike Sorrentino says that being sober and living a life of integrity has opened many doors for him, and he feels like he’s the best of himself right now. He says he wants to share this with others and teach them to do the same.

The second half of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 3 will air on MTV in 2020.
